Rite of Passing
There's no lines on the road
No signs as you're goin'
No lights to sdisplay the way
Or milestones at the end of the day
Yet they cruise on
'Til their path is gone
Never straying from their lane
Everything stays the same
It gets so easy
They just get lazy
And never want to change
It gets so insane that
They get complacent
And let it all get strange
There's no lines on the phone
No defined area codes
No numbers on the face at all
Or dialtone to start a call
Yet they still wait
Letting it get a little too late
Hoping for the phone to ring
Never doing a thing
It gets so surreal
They forget how to feel
And never want a change
It gets so senseless when
They fail to comprehend
And let it all get strange
There's no lines in the fight
Most times it's black or white
No rights are ever left
Deep in its' depth
Yet they hold back
Allowing the attack
Like prey in a vipers stare
They don't go anywhere
It gets so savage
They're just carnage
Waiting for the grind
It gets so dismal when
They finally reach an end
Twisted, trampled and blind
No signs as you're goin'
No lights to sdisplay the way
Or milestones at the end of the day
Yet they cruise on
'Til their path is gone
Never straying from their lane
Everything stays the same
It gets so easy
They just get lazy
And never want to change
It gets so insane that
They get complacent
And let it all get strange
There's no lines on the phone
No defined area codes
No numbers on the face at all
Or dialtone to start a call
Yet they still wait
Letting it get a little too late
Hoping for the phone to ring
Never doing a thing
It gets so surreal
They forget how to feel
And never want a change
It gets so senseless when
They fail to comprehend
And let it all get strange
There's no lines in the fight
