The Dagger Falls
The dagger falls
Steel on stone
A spark
A stain
Red on chrome
Life blood flows
A pool
Paints the floor
A pulse
That beats no more
The candle flickers
Casting twisted shadows in its' throes
Like dancing demons with reaching fingers
Waiting for a frenzied feast
Of a forlorn soul
Then the darkness
Smothers the victim and hides the crime
The blade and blood no longer found
Demons leap with shrill thrill
On the forlorn ghost
Steel on stone
A spark
A stain
Red on chrome
Life blood flows
A pool
Paints the floor
A pulse
That beats no more
The candle flickers
Casting twisted shadows in its' throes
Like dancing demons with reaching fingers
Waiting for a frenzied feast
Of a forlorn soul
Then the darkness
Smothers the victim and hides the crime
The blade and blood no longer found
Demons leap with shrill thrill
On the forlorn ghost
