It is the eve of doom,

I sat alone in a room

Waiting for fate,

Which had crashed through the gate

And watches from where it looms.

Stones are slung

Gallows wait for the hung

Honour burns like coal

The truth swallowed whole

And presented as dung

Listen then, should someone survive

And can feel God

Don't fall from fear from something so small as unseen

Instead use the time alive

To stand proud

And know who you've been

You are a sound in the silence

Calm in the violence

A note in His song

You are a voice in the choir

A poem entire

Whose words cannot be wrong

I armoured myself with faith around my heart

And eagerly grasped the sword of His word

Ashes to ashes, if I must I must

Stay true to myself

So I can be true to the rest

When I pass, know these words are true

For they come not from me

But the Lord above.

By his grace go I

I have only the will to follow his

Oh such sadness

Oh such sorrow

That we should not see tomorrow

And fail to see today

Nor since the forbidden fruit was eaten

Have we understood what the word means

Though it is throughout

In the beat of my heart

Which resonates His song

To every thought and dance

Even into the temple within

Which offers all I can stand.

Those who would go back to Eden can now go.

Those who would buck against the bularks, just hold.

There is justice for all.

Like groping for a candle in the dark

Those who don't need to see

Are frightened at the spark

For those who make it their goal

Must have fire to make it complete

And once lit, may not understand their surrounding

Listen to what you've heard!

The lamb can lay with the lion

If each heeds His word.

What yo feel

What you smell

What you taste

What you can tell

What is real

Where you fell

How to heal

What is hell

Are noise in a symphony

Yet still victory

Are noise in a symphony

Yet still victory
