Boater Frog

He popped his head out of the bog,

And proclaimed with guttural glee

"Hello world! Look at me!"

He leaped laughing onto a log,

And hopped happily as he croaked his song.

"I've been swimming in water, all along,
I swamte top of the swamp and got some limbs

But I am no longer a pollywog!"

     "

The log bounced and spun in the undisturbed water,

Sending ripples to the bankst hat got larger as they got farther.

"Now," he piped aloud, "I am a frog!"

With legs sinewy and strong!

And a tongue that lashes long!"

The ripplesbounced vfrom the banks andmeshed back into an opposing cog,

From the banks Of mud and weeds
it further stirred the calm indeed.

The settled bottom began to fog

Birds tweeted, slugs and snakes stirred,

Not happy with what just occurred.

And as he began to rapidly jog.

The littlelog spun like a motorboat

Starting a motion while still afloat.

He bellowed still, smug in his shog.

"Drowning nor gagging will my end be.

I'll always be here for all to see!"

High above an eagle spotted the boater frog

Swooped down and clutched him in its' claws

While the words were just leaving his jaws

Vigorously he wriggled himself free

But not cefore he was high above the trees.

When others would think it senseless to try

The boater frog exclaimed,

      "And now I can fly!"
e he exclaimed during is fall!

The boater frog slammed hard onto a stone

That dammed the swamp from a berm below

The frog and rock rolled away like a bane

And all the water  in the swamp began to drain.
